Stage: Detailed design of steel supports
Design: 02-07/2013
Footbridge connects Galerie Santovka Shopping center and Katerinska street. The superstructure consists of post-tensioned continuous slab, which is supported by a system of branching steel tube supports. The longest span has a length of 28.6 m.
The six steel supports consist of a steel shaft made of tube 419x25, which is branched at the top. In the case of supports P2 to P6, the branching is in 4 branches, in case of P7 it is in 2 branches. It is realized by casting, which geometrically follows the direction of individual members. Anchoring of branches to the beam is fixed.
Anchoring the shafts of the supports P2 to P6 is designed as fixed. The base plate is circular, made of sheet metal P50, with a diameter of 670 mm. The transmission of tensile forces is ensured by radially distributed T-bolt anchors with a diameter of 36 mm. Shaft anchorage P7 is designed as a hinge, the design is based on the type details of the sphere bearing. The tube shank is initially slimmed from a diameter of 419 mm to a 300 mm, by conical tube made of plate 25 mm thick. It is connected to the saddle created by machining from sheet 105 mm thick. A sphere joint is formed inside the saddle, which is created by machining a plate 97 mm thick with a diameter of 194 mm. PTFE joint lining is provided with lubrication pockets according to the requirements of ČSN EN 1337.
Castings were made of manganese cast steel.
